Poem by Akinwale Peace: Love toast

Akinwale Peace

"Love toast"

When I was alone, lonely and single,
Of times schedules stole friendship I might mingle,
Let those times I'd felt alone and lonely jingle;
Explaining my gladness like the lion of the jungle
'xampling a victorious life when I met her angle.

Tell them you've met me, Yes me!
Of all the treasures in the beauty inn.
Say to me "I'll always love you,"
I have a thing worth more than you,
Now you're shaking, its my love and heart shared between me and you.

(these lines are in Shakespearian language)

Woe betide the darkness of the earth
of which they've withheld lov'ng hearts.
Let my future dance cos I'm happy;
Esp cos I'm with you Lady charming;
'xampling a life with you is a glad feeling.

To whom will thou wish "blissful"?
Of whom shall I tell of thy love that's peaceful?
Seen of drunken passion that hypnotize me
in and scribble me like solitaire in
no game but love that is real.

When I speak, it's no lie,
Of my lips, it sings of a good life,
Life to be spent with you,
Enjoyable life that'll be love full,
'Xcuse me!: I'm in love with you.

Thou art wonderful amidst men;
Of the smiles, you've the greatest
like of an angel; you're the angel
in my heart and my world till the end,
Nothing will stop my love for thee.

What I see at the sky is the soft smile
of my wife; The angelic smile of my wife,
Let my heart fail, your smiles will heal me (and)
elucidate the mystery of your love for me,
'Xcuse me!: I love you dearie.

Thou art profess thy sincerity with words,
Of which I awe at thy words.
Seeing you spell my world peace,
In you, I'm something special like the sky;
Now we're one and everlastingly worthy to smile.

Wow! Because we're in love, let birds sing the chorus
Touch me and let's dance like warrior.
Of a contest will it be?
Of the victory it will be.
I'll always love you
I'll never leave you.

Read the story. TEARS IN MY EYES

                     TEARS IN MY EYES     The anxiety for sex prompted the award winning and young Nigerian poet (Ololade Akinlabi Ige) to sharpen the keen mouth of his pen to write the novella: TEARS IN MY EYES. This is a book for everyone to read.
The pains and agony the main character in the novella went through were meant to awake the conscience of the wicked being.

     Ariyo is a beautiful lady. Eyes cannot deny that. She is a product of rape but she leaves behind her worries knowing fully well that the world is good for no one. But she feels it is very stupid if she eventually falls victim of what led her to life. She tries to always avoid intimate relationship with boys because she knows quite well that boys often come with different missions in which most of the time their common mission is sex, sex and sex.
     But we are all human being, this heart needs a companion. So it is for Ariyo who uncons…

Once upon a time, a woman has a big store for her chickens. The chickens are so big that they give big and good eggs everytime they release eggs. The woman fed them so much that they were weighty even after releasing eggs.
One day, a customer brought some local hens to her, she said
"Try them, they are also good hens. They give big eggs as well. You'll enjoy keeping and feeding them."

The woman collected them and added them with his chickens. The chickens and the local hens stayed together in a place.
One day, the woman gave them the normal food they eat, as the chickens pecked their food moderately, the local hens scattered it with their legs as they peck, they scattered it around and peck, they did that till they liter the whole place.
Mother hen looked at the chickens,
"We're the same now, we eat the same food. We will yield the same eggs, we will be on the postal too."
The chickens flap their feathers feebly and rested th…

BOOK: SANE SANDS OF DUSTY DAWNin honour of Late Pa Adeniran Adefemi.
Today, songs by Banners welcomed me, and just then, I was brought to the knowledge of this post which I'd forgotten.
It is sad, it is disheartening yet overtime, it has come to my psychological reasoning that Joseph, best known as Prince Joe is recovering from this saddening occurrence and I feel he has been encouraged. He needs cheerful people around him, not people that will bring such memories...
     However, it is pertinent to note that when you have people around you, know that you don't have dirty clothes. And if you don't have people, know that you are not alone, you only need to move closer to those you think hate you. Trust me, they can follow you into the storm, stand and fall with you, you can count on them...friends can, only if you move closer to them.
     Life and death are two parallel lines, you either die or live. We do not want to die but we deserve death, because since we are born, what d…
