RANT 0001 to 0100

Writing/starting Rants is one of the best things that I could say has happened to me in the writing "world". They said a child rants, they said rant is a noise, I also said it too but this RANT is a compilation of meaningful words. You know, you only have to scream, talk, make the noise in a world that shouts or else, no one will hear you. That is, if you can't scream, you can whisper... Anyhow, speak and let them hear you.

INTRODUCTION

before you read

Life is in stages and as we grow, we learn and see many things: some things influence us, some doesn’t; some make us and some mar us. But our reflection and definition of these things are what really and truly maters. Many things are to be done, acknowledged and accepted by us but at times, we do not even notice them, let alone acknowledge or learn from them; they end up not influencing us or we end up not allowing its influence on us because in the first place, we didn’t take cognizance of it.

I didn’t start RANT on my own. Perhaps, it’s a truth someone will be stoked at reading. I got to know about RANT from Akingbade Ademide who was once a poet (because he just said recently that he is no more a poet. Laughs), he said he stopped writing poetry because he thinks it limited him of his own kind of expression. But you know poetry is another thing; know the rules, if you want to break it, break it justiably.

So, I started RANT and I told myself that people will not read my RANTS as a noise even if I call it a noise. I told myself, I just need somewhere, something, a podium and an avenue to express myself aside (or alongside) poetry and (short) stories. I said mine will have meaning even if people say it is meaningless. Therefore, I started RANT and I told myself I may do it for life. It is all about what I want to say and how I want to express myself without a rule, without breaking a rule. And this wasn’t easy. It got to a time I thought it is all useless. I thought I was ranting like a child. (Laughs) When I told a friend, he said it is for children. It sounded like I made a resolution and I didn’t even know about what I wanted to do but I didn’t stop. It is what I started, it is what I am doing, it is what I want to be known for: writing, expressing and living myself.

One of reasons why I published RANTS is for  the copyright sake. I had to publish it although I unnecessarily spent time on it. I wanted to publish the last RANT, Rant 0100 in the book and then publish the book instead of the Rant 0100 itself but the person I told to help me took his time and eventually, he couldn't. That is why it's/was this delayed.

However, the compilation is here now. For those that need the compiled book. See the link below and download. Thank you for your support all this while.
Your baby boy,
Philip Peace.

THE LOCAL HENS AND THE CHICKENS | FABLE

FABLE 1

THE LOCAL HENS AND THE CHICKENS.
Once upon a time, a woman has a big store for her chickens. The chickens are so big that they give big and good eggs everytime they release eggs. The woman fed them so much that they were weighty even after releasing eggs.
One day, a customer brought some local hens to her, she said
"Try them, they are also good hens. They give big eggs as well. You'll enjoy keeping and feeding them."

The woman collected them and added them with his chickens. The chickens and the local hens stayed together in a place.
One day, the woman gave them the normal food they eat, as the chickens pecked their food moderately, the local hens scattered it with their legs as they peck, they scattered it around and peck, they did that till they liter the whole place.
Mother hen looked at the chickens,
"We're the same now, we eat the same food. We will yield the same eggs, we will be on the postal too."
The chickens flap their feathers feebly and rested th…

One Poem by Muhammad Auwal Ibrahim

THE WEAKER ANIMAL

Allah has answered the prayer of the weaker animals
None think that you will survive such attack
By those big lions
For whatever they chase,
They make sure is no longer breathing
on earth
You are a rabbit that survived harassments by
Those dark dogs
Inside that forest
Think not, that is your speed that saved you
It is the protection of Allah
We are all animals
But of higher class
Not those that live in the forest
Of which some are weak
While some are strong
The weak is always threaten by the strong
Let's all learn how to live in peace
With one another
